I have been in the business for over 14 years and have been using hair and skin as an art medium since. Licensed is Hair, skin, and nails, I have enjoyed all aspects of the beauty biz and can create subtle changes in a client’s look or transform a brunette to a rainbow. I believe in conscious business practices that evolve with new technology, greener practices, and exploring latest trend techniques that support a healthier hair, skin, and spirit. The greatest key to beauty is health and I try to honor that with each client, color, facial, and tutorial I offer. Less is more, a simple life is a relaxed one. I love to make people happy with the power of transformation… sometimes that means a brand new color and style, sometimes that means a chakra balancing facial, sometimes it is coming in and not having to chat and being allowed to rest while you are taken care of with good music, a cup of tea, and some great aromatherapy in the air.
I love to grow and learn. I am constantly taking classes ranging from Inspiring Business classes, latest trends like Color Melt and Balayage techniques, Aquage styling and cutting courses, Paul Mitchell trained in cut and color, men’s barbering, DevaCurl Curly hair theory, Malibu C for color correction, and specialized hair and scalp treatment classes through both Paul Mitchell and Malibu C, Reiki, Thai Yoga Massage, and the latest Shamanic Practice study… The ways in which we can invite more love, energy, and creativity are endless.
I have a background in painting, drawing, sculpture, and carpentry. I love food and I love finding recipes that will not just excite my taste buds but will also generate healthier skin, hair, and happiness. Food has power, as does how we feel about ourselves. I love walking in nature, time with my family, and my Australian Shepard Willow. I am an animal person, people person, and love-to-lounge, adventuring person.
I have been creating beautiful hairstyles for men and women since 2012, graduated from our local Phagans at the top of the class for eight months in a row, licensed in Hair, Skin, Nails… My true passion in transformative color. I love the challenge of creating a brand new vibrant look for someone while maintaining healthy, shiny, hair that works for that persons lifestyle. I love style, and fashion is a creative outlet for me, but doing hair is my creative outlet #1. I love the trust people have in me to help them feel different and add that spark in their day. I enjoy all the smiles that walk out of our salon door. I love all of the continued education we go to at our salon. Continued education including Aquage styling and cutting courses, DevaCurl Curly Hair theory, Paul Mitchell Pro color placement and cut geometry (many occasions… the learning never ends), Balayage classes, men’s barbering, Malibu C for color correction, and specialized hair and scalp treatment classes through both Paul Mitchell and Malibu C. I am always amazed at what a good simple hair/scalp treatment can do to change what some have experienced as a long term issues. Let the past be behind us and a transformation begin today.
Every day is an opportunity. My life outside of the Salon includes hiking with my min-pin Thor, lifting weights, cooking (my pies never last a day), yoga, reading, family, and getting wrapped up in a good show..
